The more I think about this, the more I realize that Underwood will be Frank's replacement. Currie and Schultzy talking about "understanding OUR values", talking about how Martin's kids and Underwood's kids hang out and won't anymore, etc. Frank thinks Underwood deserves a chance and is getting out of the way for Underwood, just like Huggy did for him a few years ago. The "search" may go on for a few days, but rest assured, this is already in the works and they are just trying to find another good recruiter to sit on the bench alongside him. When you already have an "associate head coach" on staff, why not just move him into the head coaching position?
BTW FWIW I think this is bad for K-State but will be fun to watch for a couple of years.

I can think of hires I would hate more.

If Underwood takes the job and gives praises to Frank, I don't want him here. I don't want to hear that crap at all. If Brad has bad things to say about Frank. I'll be more ok with it.

This is true, but only because the reward that goes along with the huge risk is that he'd probably stick around if he's successful. Having said that, I hope we can make a better hire and keep Unds on staff.

Especially if they don't even get an interview with him. He should be in charge of keeping things together at this point, and if you can't get Pearl or Boyle, he has to be near the top of the list.

What other realistic coach has a good chance of having Martin's success? I think most would do worse.
