The press conference made me feel better? I appreciate it?

Not related: I'm not mad/sad that Frank left anymore.

If players wanted him gone/players weren't coming because of him. Adios.

I like the way KS smirked a lot.

I have faith in the future of the KSU Cats.

This will all change if we hire a POS coach. Right now though, I'm a peace.

No doubt the receipt was in trash or on floor.  The process that took place in finding it and delivering it to the compliance dept is the part that is full of the most bullshit.  this is the process a new coach will be the most concerned about.

And ultimately, this process has no immunity under the KORA.  Or it shouldn't at least.

It's going to be amazing when somebody makes a KORA request and Kansas State cannot find the receipt.

That's kinda what I think too. Terrible.  I mean how can you just deny open records requests?

They destroyed FERPA by disclosing everything about the receipt.

So then can any ol' Joe file a LOL request or whatever you call it? Because you should, Limestone.

So does anybody have a link to video of the whole press conference yet? I'd like to watch Currie fidget some more.

I cannot make any sense out of the garbage receipt.

Some people are just self-important assholes who think it's their job to make sure everyone else is falling in line. Apparently Manhattan has a lot of these types.

rough ridin' Kansas has a lot of these types.  One of the reasons I hate this state.  If they aren't peeking in your window and talking about what they see the next day at the donut shop, they're engaging you in a conversation, feeling you out to see what you want or need at the moment, then telling you it can never happen and punctuating it with "I can tellya that right now."  Examples:

"You ain't gonna get that car started.  I can tellya that right now."

"Yore new lawn ain't gonna come in even with the heat wave comin'.  I can tellya that right now."

"Ain't nobody gonna beat Obama come November.  I can tellya that right now."

"K-State ain't gonne beat KU in basketball for another 25 years.  I can tellya that right now."

Hate it when this happens to me.

Worst part about Kansas by far.

AWWWWW SHEEEIT!  Just found it. Somehow, for some bizarre reason, the Athletic Department didn't completely lock up the footage of this forever.

Full video: http://www.kstatesports.com/

Gonna need people to capture all the best moments and put them up on The YouTubes.  Especially JC saying FERPA.  tia.

Oh Bullshit, some of you guys are over reacting little babies.

They are answering tough questions, one of the last times K-State had a press conference like this the rough ridin' president and AD got up there and cried . . . cried like little school girls.

Sorry, Frank is NO LONGER EMAW . . . Understand NO LONGER EMAW.

I get sick of people who make coaches out to be bigger than Kansas State, they aren't.

Hate on Currie or even Schulz, but as of right now, they ARE EMAW, FRANK MARTIN IS NOT!!

Yeah, everything that went on was pretty much what I expected.

Currie said nothing that can hurt him in hiring a new coach. If there's damage there from his relationship with Frank, he wasn't going to fix it today either.

Now its about him going out and finding a good coach, his career will likely ride on it.

Bold is pretty much all I care about right now.  I'm sad that Frank is gone and JC seems to be a huge prick, but all that really matters to us is how KSU ends up in the wake of all of this.

Did anyone ask Currie about the pressure of hiring a quality replacement for Frank?  Something along the lines of...

"John, the reasons for Frank's departure and all of that aside, the basketball program is at it's highest point in over 20 years and just lost the coach who made that happen, to what most perceive as a lesser program.  How much pressure as an AD do you feel to hire someone who can at least maintain that success level at K-State.  How confident are you that you can make a hire that will keep step with the program's current success?"
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Great move by Currie/Shultz to open the presser and spend some time talking about the "receipt" incident....pretty clear they hope all the dumb fucks think "Frank Martin wanted to cheat and by God we just aren't going to break NCAA rules....we ARE KState."   When the whole rough ridin' point is:  John Currie can't figure out how to manage an egomaniac coach.  Show me a coach without a healthy ego and I'll show you a loser.  Currie mumped this up royally.  Loved the whole "when Frank Martin had a problem he would come to me.  He didn't come to me, so he clearly didn't have a problem."  rough ridin' brilliant.   Where did this eff stick learn to manage people?  Especially your rainmakers?  John Currie = failure.
