Frank Martin's KSU legacy
« on: March 27, 2012, 07:40:16 AM »
How much credit does Frank get for revitalizing our program?  He did win 20 games every year, take us to the Elite 8 once, and to the torn-ament 4 times. However, I don't think that happens if Huggins doesn't assemble the Basketball Gods and give Frank the number 1 recruiting class in 2007. Can he replicate in South Carolina with a bare cupboard? My head says no, and my heart says no, and my jealous rage says no.

a decent coach that benefitted from his predecessor who nobody really likes, and in three years, everybody will be glad he's gone.
He was most likely going to be fired or "resign" within the next year or two anyways.

I'll remember him as the guy who paid players and punched a kid on the sideline during a game

Frank's tenure at K-State is a lot like Kruger's and the situation he is leaving for (and reasons for it) aren't much different either. So there's that.

Frank knocked up a cheerleader?  I didn't know chicks could get preggers from having their temp checked.   :horrorsurprise:

he never played with only his players, he still had a huggins guy until the bitter end.  and we all know that his coaching style sucked, and the constant in-and-out of juco players.

good riddance, loser!
