I haven't eaten anywhere other than the KC bbq joints, but my daughter told me that I should be known as The Breakfast Genius since the egg whites and bacon she likes so much were again fantastic this morning.

Does RJ's Bob-Be-Que @ Lamar and Johnson Dr. count?  Used to get a to-go box every Sunday afternoon.  I liked the hottest sauce they made also.   :lick:

EDIT: I think it is on the Kansas City originals list.

Some BBQ place in Ft Worth. Don't remember the name. They also claimed to have the coldest beer in TX in these fish bowl mugs.

Yes. They were on "food network: diners, drive-ins, and dives".

Thomas Keller's Bouchon Napa

hmmm

you should take the wife out to yountville for the day

It's like an hour drive but it just seems SO FAR AWAY.

But if steve dave says it's a top 3 meal it might be worth the trip.

hell, take her to The French Laundry if you're driving an hour  :kstategrad:

have you done french laundry?

I need to try this, too, no one here shuts up about it:

http://www.yelp.com/biz/gary-danko-san-francisco

French Laundry is very good, but I don't think I would ever go back unless someone else was buying. $400 lunch for 2 is a little indulgent for my taste, but the wife loved it and it was a fantastic overall experience. It's not the best restaurant in the world as many have claimed over the years.

If ever in Sydney, I thought this place was better and a little less expensive - - http://www.tetsuyas.com/

Mrs. Hamburglar ate at Brennen's last night.  The owner gave her and her friend a free bottle of champagne.  As she was getting up to leave the waiter slipped her a note from the owner with his phone number on it and said to give him a call.  :fatty:
