The Chef was on some food show, so the Chef.

Rusty's was named the best sports bar in Kansas by SI, I accidentally ate there once as a freshman.

Kite's is the best sports bar in America, I've eaten there a few times.

KC barbecue

Grinder's was on some Food Network show a while back I believe, I've had a few slices of pizza there.

Probably the 3 best meals I've ever had were at Thomas Keller's Bouchon Napa and Per Se in NYC and Alan Wong's original location in Oahu.  I've gone to a ton of celebrity/tv chef's places (Emeril/Bobby Flay/Mario Batali/Todd English/Rick Bayless/Tom Colicchio) but they tend to be hit and miss.

I've eaten at Chipotle, it is pretty famous.  Same for McDonald's.  Probably some others I'm forgetting as well.

It's like an hour drive but it just seems SO FAR AWAY.

But if steve dave says it's a top 3 meal it might be worth the trip.

Anybody done the French Laundry? Going to SF in September and a small part of me want's to put down the $600+ for dinner, but then I think most people only do it so they can say they've been and it just seems ridiculous.

have not done french laundry.  we considered it but realized we could probably have 3 great meals for that price while we were out there and Keller runs both places so we may as well do Bouchons.

there's a place close to time square called 'Bond 45' that is somewhat famous. it was featured on the new hit TV show "Smash." well anyways, i ate there when i was in NYC for the Pinstripe Bowl. bartender asked me if the powercat i was wearing was a 'spartan.'
