Nice photos, 'Pad.  Meanwhile, KU just put $55 million worth of upgrades into the 11th ranked athletic venue in the world and built a brand spankin' new $35 million football complex.  Oh, and we added several Big 12 titles to the trophy case since then.  Meanwhile, K-State comes up with some nice pictures and a trophy from some NIT tournament in Hawaii.

maybe you guys should try spending money on facilities that people actually care about?  like your football stadium (the part people visit, not the coaches offices)

I like how BMW just makes stuff up and still manages to get humiliated in these arguments.

FYI BMW,
K-State has the #1 rated athletic facilities in the Universe and is #4 in the tri-Universe region.  Not to mention the most gigapixels of any jumpo-tron ever contemplated by the worlds most brilliant scientists.  Plus our trophies contain crystal made with sand from the sun and gold mined from the deepest trench in the pacific ocean.  AND we don't have a track/football scaffoldplex.

$100 million in new construction done at KU by the end of '10.  Almost two years later, K-State breaks ground on the meat goat facilities.

To be fair, the aniquated sewer system under the fog got quite a bit of rehab.  Their facilities really rough ridin' suck.  For $30 million, or worse $100 million, you'd think they'd get a little more bang for their buck.

hasn't ksu had a football complex and indoor practice facility for like 25 years?

hasn't ALL major d1 programs had those things for like 20 years?

kinda surprised you'd be bragging about getting those things all this time later.  no wonder no on can win there.

KU has had an indoor football facility for years.  It just wasn't right next to the football stadium.  We also had a new strength and conditioning center built in '02, a 42,000 sq. ft. facility that cost a little over $8 million.  That was updated in the latest renovations as well.

jesus christ. ku's basketball team is better than k-state's. we get that. other than that, at the current time, the better athletic department award goes to k-state. get over it.

Based on what?  When was the last time your athletic department won a Big 12 title?

head to head results, big 12 standings, financial standing, relations with the NCAA, haven't been investigated by the FBI, we don't have former employees going to federal prison, haven't been on probation in the last decade, etc... the big 12 titles basketball are impressive, absolutely. that's a given. they do count. but the athletic department as a whole, head to head between the two schools, i think it's obvious.

Pretty hard to explain to KU fans that sports outside of men's basketball actually exist.  Except in 2008, the KU t-shirts fans were all about football that year.

Head to head results?  KU is 43-3 against K-State in basketball and 4-4 in the past 8 years in football.  We have a larger athletic budget and more total revenue than K-State.  KU is in good standing with the NCAA and the FBI investigation found no wrongdoing on the part of KU.  What the hell does any of that have to do with athletic success anyways?  Bottom line is that an athletic department is judged on winning their conference and winning on the national level.  KU has national titles, BCS Bowls, Big 12 titles, etc, while K-State has a few top 5 finishes in a couple sports and a Cotton Bowl appearance.  It's really not even close, bro.  KU is the better athletic department, and until K-State starts winning the Big 12, that won't change.

There are only three programs in the country who have both the men and women's basketball programs in the Sweet Sixteen.  Baylor, Kentucky, and Kansas.  Our women's indoor track program also finished the year ranked #6 in the country.
