Perhaps why Frank didn't tell his players personally that he was abandoning ship..

I think that is very telling.  I'm not surprised by the talk of 4-6 transfers.  We all overlooked a lot of the warts because we the end appeared to justify the means.  Now the light shines a little brighter.  How many college kids can/will put up with Franks crap for 4 years?

Not surprised at all either, look at the handful of players that we know couldn't deal with it.

Emotions were high yesterday, I may owe someone an apology, but it won't happen.

I'm fine with our players doing whatever is best for them. None of them came here for me, or even for K-State. They came mainly for Frank and his staff, and if they can get opportunities that fit them better somewhere else they should go for it.

Would the anti-Franks be as mad if he'd just resigned over the issue without having another job in hand?

Any indication that Frank would ever do that?

The seeming indifference on his end of negotiating with KSU, even with having leverage in the form of a $2m offer in hand.  He was leaving, South Carolina or TV or whatever.  And factoring in TV, as a practical matter, he did have a job in hand.  If he'd quit in the Syracuse postgame and there were no coaching jobs available, last weekend would've been his first week on the job rather than a guest appearance.

This is becoming apparent.  Though he would have never had a tv gig outside of Topeka.  CBS often takes coaches who went out in the previous round to come in and discuss the next round, they never give them full time jobs.

I'm glad we kept those 4-6 players happy.  A lineup of Omari, Watson, Sprads, Martavius, and Jones should put us square in the race for 9th in the BigXII.

All is fine and good but if we lost that many players at the same time we might as well kiss away about 2 scholarships and playing in the NCAA for the next 2 years. APR would have eaten us alive.

Sure, it would be horrible for K-State. The next coach will have to make a hard sell to keep as many players as he can, for the reasons you said. But its also not the players' fault, they are just caught in the middle of the mess even moreso than we are as fans. I'm certainly not going to be upset with any of them if they choose to go somewhere else.

I think you are really missing the bigger picture.  If Frank can't recruit players that want to play for him than what does that say?  I know there is attrition in other programs, but does any quality program deal with this type of stuff EVERY year?  I don't know the answer but I would guess not, at least not to the degree that we have.

the players leaving the team meeting last night laughing and upbeat seems to fit the "new" rumors a bit more.

consiperacy theory here:  Martin wanted to play Samuels because he wanted to win and get as far in the tournament as he could to get the best job possible.  Look at the signs.  Martin had Upshaw sign an aide agreement instead of an LOI.  He didn't care what happened to KSU with sanctions because he knew he was gone.

I just feel sorry for Jamar because it appears both Martin and Currie used him as a pawn in their game. eff both of them.

Leave it to Luke Fescoe to expose K-State. What a scoop.

No way, ESPN loves him and they've got infinite jobs.
