Have learned that the Kansas Board of Regents has met and is now involved in Martin/Currie situation

This just doesnt end.

wtf

W.T.F. Do these morons realize it is just our COACH that is going to the SEC this time, not our entire AD? Unless this is Frank demanding mediation of some point in order to try to stay in MHK, this seems highly useless, and that scenarion seems unlikely even for this goat eff of a situation
Or maybe it is Currie starting the process of hiring oscar Pearl? Getting permission from the Board would definitely come into play with such a controversial move... :driving:

Currie is not going to save the day retards. He started this mess by being a goodie two shoes self reporting violations. Frank might be a baby for committing career suicide, but don't think this is part of curries master plan. Currie is appeasing bill by killing the basketball program

Name the hires where you would feel like the day is saved, then let's see if we get any of those guys.  Also, by "day is saved" I mean a coach that can step in and take us to the NCAA 4 out of 5 years.

Not implying that. Implying currie is trying to suck up to bill. Bill killed basketball the first time

"The last 24 hours have been real difficult for me. Being around those seniors and their families that believed in me when they didn't have to. Then having to deal with losing, which a little piece of me dies every time we lose, and then have to deal with the joy of this incredible opportunity that John has afforded me here. I can't be more thankful to this university for its loyalty to me and my family, to our staff. I'm having a tough time finding words as I've been reflecting all day today, from selling newspaper ads to being the poolhall change boy when I was 12, to making the dollar-figure that I'm getting ready to make. I just met with the team, that's why I was a couple minutes late, and it was important to me to say thank you to those guys. But this university is under incredible leadership right now. For you media folks, I want to say thank you for the majority of you being so understanding when you were asking questions about this contract deal and respecting my answers to you, which were the truth. I didn't want it to interfere with the team.

I told John, from Day 1, I said, 'John, I want us - I want, because we didn't know each other - and I understand how important the head men's basketball coach is to a university. And I told him from Day 1, I said, 'John, I want to be the guy that grows old with you here. I don't want you to offer me a contract because it's en vogue. I want to do it because you believe in me. And obviously, he has shown that faith in our staff and my family and myself to give me this wonderful opportunity ... It just goes to show, if you try to do right by people, and you do your job, that good things can happen to you."

I don't care enough about Bball to know any good coaches. I want Currie because I don't want anything to eff up our Facility improvements.

Unfortunately, it seems that's correct. I believe things went into hyper drive when Frank made the comments, on TV, about giving money to past high school players. With JC being a compliance nazi, I'm sure his head almost exploded when he saw/heard that. I have no doubts that he got his little group of SS officers to investigating anything involving money and Frank. This may be more why the Board of Regents are getting involved. I would assume that the BOR wants to know if there is any possible negative impact on one of their schools from any past possible shenanigans. imo

Prior to finalizing his hire he made FB budget demands that were above the then FB budget.  It was pretty clear that BB budgets were going to be cut and in Kruger's last year he started to feel the pinch of his own budget in order for the AD to meet Bill's budget and realized that trend was going to continue.  So yes, he ran Kruger out of town.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls
