New BITB, on JamSam
« on: March 19, 2012, 02:31:31 PM »
I am starting a new thread because I hate master threads for fff.

1.  Kietz reads this borad.

2.  KS doesn't have a "compliance" department, it has an "enforcement" department and is much different from other NCAA schools.

3.  Currie should have told compliance something along the lines of what we are saying.  "This is abrupt, let's not race to judgment, I have to gather some information, I will get back to Manhattan, talk to our lawyers and find out what this is all about and make a determination on what to do"

4.  KSU has second highest profit.  This is an AD looking for a new job.  He is auditioning.  KSU riding a bus to Norman for football games while we book that profit is ridiculous.  The donors who write those checks want to break even.  Not carry a 7 figure profit while our football buses it to Norman.

I understand the profit talking point, but I really doubt we will still be turning 7 figure profit when construction on the stadium expansion begins.

We are currently building a $17 million basketball facility.

If this is Currie auditioning, that could be a good thing.  bring in someone else who will have a stack of cash to work with.  Hopefully Frank will get his buddy that used to run the FL school Tony Mitchel went to for a little while to interview.  Think what we could do with those compromised ethics and a few extra mill...

Why doesn't anyone love KSU like we do? Why always a stepping stone? Why not a dream job? It's a nice place.  :frown:

Worse yet, our administration doesn't begin with a position "protecting coaches/players."  They begin from a position of "Save the AD's ass," even though EVERYONE in athletics understands that an possible negative repercussions are ineffective and harmless to institutions (see Memphis, Kentucky, UCONN, KU, UCLA, etc...).

Exactly. You make your run at the final four and worry about harmless penalties later.

Except for we are K-StateO. We are the one the NCAA comes down on with an Iron Fist to prove they dont mess around, we are KU's womens golf team.

Side Question, this is the attitude that I have, Is this just a response to all the KITN from the past or would this actually happen? If the answer is the first then is this attitude amongst our fanbase what is actually holding back our program?

That portion of the fan base doesn't want to win.  They would rather lose knowing that their squad conducted themselves in a way that the tucks deem respectable.  Then they will go home and cheat on their sig other, waste a bunch of time at work while lying to their bosses about it, and take anything for free that any individual will let them have.

I hope that NBAF finally goes through and that a small leak of something horrible does occur and that it's side effects are massive biceps and the inability to tell the truth.

I think we should have suspended JamSam for the first 5 games of next year, ala Ohio State...

How about the ability to exercise some reasonable judgment?

KSU riding a bus to Norman for football games while we book that profit is ridiculous.

The game was in Manhattan.

Right after the secret agreement was announced. Completely asinine of Currie.
