Dipshit Dodd disagrees.

Good article.
Weird that this post passed without further commentary.
It was a stupid rough ridin' article cc. Malone has known Jamar since he was 11, how in the hell does Does, you, or any other plant in the AD feeding Dodd know that Malone wouldn't help Jamar if he wasn't dribbling a basketball? Not everyone is as stingy as you and Dodd.
Not saying I agree with the NCAA in this case or any other... but rules are rules. Dodd wrote one of the few articles to make some very important points, that's why i thought it was good. Regardless if you and I think CM and JS would be BFFs regardless of basketball, the NCAA does not -- and has said so. At that point all K-State could do (and was doing before, during and after the game) is plead their case for Jamar's reinstatement. Dodd also brought up Perry Jones, and by doing so illustrated the key difference: K-State had very little time to go through the process of getting JS reinstated. If this was midseason, its not as big a deal -- it's just magnified because he was a senior and it turned out to be the final game.
The reason I resent this article is A. Dodd being a part of the NCAA, and his bias because of this, and B. his unfair assumptions that JS didn't need the cash for food, or other necessities, rather, 200 for *petty cash*.
That's my biggest beef with arguments against CM/JS, is that it was $200. Before the tourney.
I used to work at a restaurant in town that would do the order for the MBB team after games (for anonymity, we'll say it was called New Chicago). I was there when Samuel's was a Freshman, and left last spring when he was a Junior. When looking at the order sheet, most players like Lu, Jake, and Co. would get a pasta dish, or a chicken dish - i.e. one meal. Jamar was one of two or so players that would order a large pizza, which could easily be a few meals. I always saw it as him planning meals for a couple nights ahead rather than just being greedy. Hence why I have the belief that Dodd is a horrible columnist who will do about 60% of his research and call it good, moving on to the next story.
