the competition more or less all declined to compete, but still, good job by him.  all those player profile things are great.

did KSU have a press conference today? I know lots of people ate at that sandwich place and that Mark Few doesn't know email, but that's about it.

For much of his time with the Wildcats, Irving’s job was to lead the team onto the floor with a pregame dance. He had done it for more than two years.

But McGruder told him to stop...

...“At first they looked at me like, ‘What? Come on, we always dance before games,’?” McGruder said. “Then I said, ‘Wouldn’t it be more fun to just go out there and win?’ Martavious said, ‘Yeah.’ Then another person said, ‘Yeah.’ Then we were on the floor and we won. It was great.”

McGruder still allows the team to dance before some home games, but not all.

LOVE Rodney. Probably the only guy who doesn't do the ridiculous three point eye crap when he drains one or scores 30. Go Cats!

Nor does he scream and yell after dunks, he knows the dunk itself is demoralizing enough, the yelling has very little to do with it.

Yes.  I wish all players were emotionless like Rodney.  Makes for entertaining basketball.   :sdeek:

McGruder seems really nice, he's super adorable, and he's as good as he wants to be.  I love him.  Would him doing the  :bball: over the eye after a 3 make me love him more?

Maybe!

what he lacked in personality he tried to make up for with intensity. What he lacked in charisma he figured he would make up for with 30-point games.

Hot Rod can do whatever the eff he wants as long as he remains adorable and keeps being a badass on the court.
