What's funny is how they assume it's so Jim Crow down here from what they've, "heard." They have no idea really because they have never been here. Sure racists are still in the South but they do not realize most African Americans returned to their former masters or owners after emancipation because they honestly felt comfortable there and some even loved who they worked for...

yep, I think the South is just as good if not better with race relations as any other area......The K State posters are so outdated in their thinking....

Me and a Portland co-worker were driving to Vancouver, Wash when we ran upon a couple of black guys and a Mexican walking on the side of the road. His response was, "What the hell are they doing here? Don't they know they'll get shot?"

My nephew, who knows someone that has a cousin that went to Mississippi Southern Tech, says that the cheerleaders elect one of themselves to be the honorary cowbell wearer. When they make a free throw, they pick her up and shake her. I'm told it doesn't happen very often. Personally, I can't wait to see that during the game. Should make for some good entertainment".

I find it funny that a bunch of fans of a school in a rural Kansas town that is 90% white are talking about Southerners as racists. I am betting that if you eliminate African American, Latino and Asian students that that 87% starts approaching 97% white.
yep, I think the South is just as good if not better with race relations as any other area. The small NC town I live in has one grocery store and all races and economic levels shop together; all the kids play in the same rec leagues and go to the same schools.
