Thanks. Interesting to know where some of these guys came from (Dodson in particular) because he puts up really good numbers but didn't play a lot of minutes.

don't foul, don't let them shoot 3s, and make some open shots -> cats win by 30

6'10" guard?

Yeah, though he can board decent. He's listed as a guard on their official roster, and he's usually listed as a guard on their official box scores, though he's listed as forward occasionally on those.

An interesting dynamic at play. Will Spradling faces KC native Neil Watson. Watson told Hattiesburg American Spradling is "my best friend."

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I remember that game vs Eustachy pretty well too.  Gilson Dejesus senior night.  My buddy and I PI'd Jackson Vroman pretty hard, I assume that's why we won.

Last 10 games they have really struggled.    They are only shooting 40.4% from the field and 32.9% from 3pt.

Defensivly, they have also had some problems.   In those 10 games, they are allowing their opp to shoot 49.0% from the field.  The game prior to that, they beat Memphis despite allowing the Tigers to shoot 56%.

To put it in perspective=
Last 10 games =  Off eFG% 44.8
Last 11 games =  Def eFG% 55.9

More like Southern Miss almost 60% of our shots

My straight-to-bottom prediction: Murder.  Brutal, merciless, gut upsetting violence.

Best friends will be made, and lost.

Collars will be popped.

We will physical them into extreme  :curse:, then Angel will wink at Jamar and JO while trotting to our bench after a fantastic Oboard/kickout/opp-DOB play that forces Larry into a shame TO to gather his team.

Gottlieb won't be able to shut his EMAW off and will predict us to win over Cuse.

I'm tired of talking about Southern Miss.  I vote we start overlooking them now and analyze Syracuse

It turns out I sit literally right next to a Southern Miss alum at work.  Nice enough guy.  He tells me that EMAW will win.  He also said they only have 16 people in the Kansas chapter of their alumni association, and 14 of them are in Kansas City.

It's hard to say, they are fairly unique. Offensively there are similarities to OU, though OU really doesn't draw fouls. Maybe some similarities to a Turgeon offense like we saw at aTm.

Defensively they are like us I suppose, but only if we allowed opponents to shoot well. It's really hard to find a defense that pressures the ball and rebounds as well as they do, but allows opponents to shoot over 50%.

Eustachy has some similarity to Frank, namely getting his teams to play really hard and win some of the JYC stats, but they also have significant differences.

No. 8. Kansas State (21-10) vs. No. 9 Southern Miss (25-8) Line: Kansas State -6.5
Why To Pick Kansas State: The Wildcats should be able to offset the Southern Miss balance with a deep and balanced attack of its own. The Golden Eagles don’t have any one player for KSU to worry too much about.
Why To Pick Southern Miss: This is a rock-solid, sound team that doesn’t make a slew of big mistakes. The balance and depth allow coach Larry Eustachy to keep everyone fresh. There’s a chance KSU can’t keep up if USM gets things moving and starts running.
The Pick: Southern Miss 72-65. KSU coach Frank Martin has done a good job in past tournaments, but USM will control the pace early on while causing problems with its D.

College Football News should probably stick with football.
