I really don't know who would say otherwise.  They're mostly racists, for one.  Not to mention their embarassing head coach.  A program has to stoop pretty low to give scum like that a second chance.

I hope there is security to protect our players getting off the bus. Jim Crow laws are still in effect in some parts down there, ...I've heard.

It's just sad that Kansas State, the 2nd most recognizable program in the NCAA (behind UNC, obviously) would be paired with someone most people have never heard of. If it wasn't for Eli Manning, even I would have never heard of Southern Mississippi. I think this is comparable to a heavy weight champion beating up a child with down's syndrome. No one respects the heavy weight champion for beating the crap out of him, they just hate him for it.

When we played them at Sprint and ended up not in the tourney in 2008-2009, the selection committee said it was because we had associated with known KKK members in Southern Miss.

Didn't that guy from the Blindside go there because his racist adoptive, exploitative parents sent him to play for their hayseed alma mater? Disgusting.  Poor guy

There's nothing the committee could've done guys.  If some crappy team wins their crappy conference tournament, they get in.  The rule is to blame here.  The committee doesn't want them in any more than we do.

remember when we played them in KC at the BMA Holiday Classic, 1991?  you guess it, the wylie howard led wildcats smoked southern miss 70-68.

of course, we played them again in 93 and yes, beat them at their place by 6, ski, beane, DC.
