Do you guys think KU was afraid to face Mizzou again?

How else do you explain KU losing to Baylor? 


KU had already given up the all time series in football and lost their last game ever against Mizzou.  Splitting with Mizzou in basketball was enough to kill elderly KU fans.  The mere idea of losing a final tie breaker to Mizzou in the last basketball season ever with them was probably too much to take. 

Heck, Jerry Palm has KU as the 2 seed in the West, and Mizzou the 2 in St. Louis.

Mizzou needed to beat KU to get a 1 seed.  KU wanted no part of giving them that chance.  Smart move by Self and company to eff them over like that

I think it has more to do with Self's admiration of Frank, and realizing that rest is important before the big dance.  We've all seen the struggles Self has had in 1st round games that Frank doesn't have.  Self said screw it, I'm with Frank.
