Let’s say Mangino weighed less than he did (this isn’t a jab, it’s just a reality but please don’t focus on this in a response) and went to a bowl game his last year and then two more bowl games the following years…and then Iowa’s job opened up.   Or even Illinois’ job opened up.  And some people started linking Mangino to those jobs…and there’s rumors that Mangino and Cheyenne don’t really get along all that well.  There wouldn’t be a bit of concern?

Yeah and the Illinios bball job is way better then the football job.  I would compare Illinios bball to a Texas A&M football just due to location to recruits.

Depends on who you're talking about.  If it's baseless speculation on talk radio, it wouldn't concern me.  If it's certain journalists with inside info, then I'd be concerned.  Personally, I don't think Frank would be a good fit at Illinois, and my gut tells me that Illinois will go with someone like Shaka Smart.

Chicago has PLENTY of quality recruits, keeping them in-state (and eligible) is the issue.
