...lost in the Perry Jones explosion was JO's finest half of basketball all year, minus peremiter D.

The best part about his great play is that his stats could be better had he gotten a call one of the times they raped him under the basket

Will be interesting to see if he can improve again this offseason.  After seeing him as a frosh would never have guessed he could be an all-conference player.

And he has somehow improved without Danny Manning.

It's still pretty far fetched. He could be a fantastic player next year, though.

not really all that far fetched.  I've spent all season watching Nick Collison playing for the Thunder, and JO can do everything that Collison does.   :dunno:

You serious? He'll be in the league. A 7 footer that can hit shots outside of 10 ft fading away won't play in the NBA?

I don't think you realize how good bigs in the League are. I mean Perry Jones will probably be an average player at best. There are lots of seven footers that can make that shot that aren't in the NBA. JO isn't there physically, and I don't think he will ever be.

He's not 7 ft

His arms are longer than 7', that's more important that the 1 inch he loses on height.

I never said JO would play. But he'll be on a bench.

Perry Jones will not be an "average player" in the league IMO.  Has build and skills to be a star.

Also, JO making the league not likely...but he's the best shot for anyone on this year's team making it.

Admittedly, I was laughing at the JO playing in the pros thread last year. I'm still laughing, just not as uproariously. He's still too weak in the lower half.

That DOB (I'm pointing in your direction Pierre Jackson) today had me out of my seat. Effing DOB at its finest.

I don't think he is strong enough to handle the bigs in the league, but if someone is dumb enough to draft Thabeet 2nd, I don't see why someone isn't dumb enough to draft JO in the 2nd round.

Bigs in the league are constantly hurt.   Bargnani., Nene, Pachuli, all of the true 7 footers get hurt.  If you can stay healthy at that size, you can catch on.  Not be a star, not be a starter, but make a roster.  i am sure JO is not even that level but if he stays healthy, he can def make a roster.
