Your endurance will come back.  Pete Attia's blog is where I first started really diving into this.  He did a 4 yrs self experiment with Keto.  He was a competition super long range swimmer(like 12 hr swims  :horrorsurprise:) and was pretty into long range biking.  He said that his top end endurance suffered, but after a few months it came back.  I have heard other ultra marathoners say that it took them a full yr to regain their top end, but quickly after that they surpassed what their previous limit was.  A lot of those endurance types are saying keto adaptation is the key to surpassing past world records in those type of events, but that you need to plan 1-2 yrs in advance to get the full benefit.

Good job on the gains, all.

In right at 2 months, I am down 15lbs total and gained 3# muscle.

Yes

Better question.  Why do you want to be at 8% body fat?

Well 8 specifically is not a goal. But I would like to be less than what I am now.  I don't want to carry any weight I don't have to or is not useful.

I might be sub 12 right now...not sure which measurement to trust (Styko or scale, or need to get calipers?).  Eye test and picture/chart comparo I'm the 15%.

Fast day.

Been doing 24hrs from Friday dinner to sat dinner.  Supposed to be really good for weight loss but even better for general health.  Immune system, etc.  Never thought I would be into this, bit it is much easier than I thought it would be.

I've never thought about fasting being that good for you.  Wouldn't it slow your metabolism down when your body thinks it needs to burn less and start storing more calories as fat?  Also, I've fasted before but couldn't really do anything requiring physical exertion without getting lightheaded, so to me it seems like kind of a wash over at least having a protein shake and burning calories.

I have done this 6 or 7 times now, always a sat, and do my long/heavy lift seshes same days.  All of the times i have been keto, though.   I wouldn't do it if I wasn't fat adapted yet.

There is some good info out there about a 24hrs fast being really good for killing off precancerous cells, boosting immunity, etc.  It is also the fastest way to keep you in keto if you ate too many carbs prior.

I really don't think a bottle of beer has a big enough diameter, unless you get a 40.

So diameter DOES matter!  I KNEW it.

Ketocats, really good podcast I just listened to Robb Wolf- the paleo solution 6-13-16 podcast.  Good info from a guy who runs Keto Gains and has been doing this for something like 14 yrs.

Sound isn't perfect.  Wolf's never are.  However, really good info on practical questions and application.

I have looked into the KetoGains website and FB group, and there is some good stuff on there.  The Dom D'Augustino, Rogan, Ferris, Attia, etc stuff I have been listening to is much more focused around overall health, it's effect on cancer, diabetes, dementia, etc.  They all kind of touch on fat loss as a side effect it also has without really getting into the weight loss how to stuff.  The Ketogains ppl mostly hit on how to lose weight with it and how to build muscle while on it.  It is much more applicable of information, imo.

Also, they have some basic workout info, have their own macro calc, do custom nutrition plans, and custom workouts.  The latter two are pay items.

Interesting stuff and a very active FB group if you have questions.  Would recommend if you are a Ketocat.
