What kind of roids are the last 4 things and how did you decide on them. Wikipedia? Clinical research?

Mostly studies we found online.  We tried to find a formula that would mirror the feeling that DMAA (1,3 Dimethylamylamine) gave before it it was banned.

Maybe this is another thread, but how do you deal with getting sexually harassed all the time once you're fit?

Concept 2 row machine.....my goodness.  It's fantastic.  I feel silly for just now having tried it.  It's great.

It works you really well if you stay focused and press hard.  I did 40 min this morning and it's monitor guesstimated a 516 cal burn.

It also really helps me work out a back tweak here and there if I do something on my RDL's.  It's like physical therapy and a workout all in one.

Def recommend.

40 minutes on one of those things sounds HORRIBLE.  I don't think I've ever managed to stay on more than 10 at a time.

I have been doing 30-40 min twice a week and lifting 3-4 times a week with a 10 min row sesh at the end of each lift.

It is seriously wonderful.

Wife and I train with these.  They are great.  There's some good training programs out there for them.  You can probably get the same amount of Cals worked with less time if you slow your rate down and go for more power in each pull. We try and stay around 20-24 pace with the return being twice as long as the pull for recovery.  Dependent on height too though.

You should try the concept2 skiers also.

Interesting.  Will try tomorrow.  I have no idea what the 20-24 pace is, though.  Is that est meters?  I have only paid attn to the est cal/hr.

It's your row rate.. probably rows/min i would assume.  It's usually at the bottom right on one of the screen options.  Basically shows if your rowing too quickly which usually translates to less power.  If your taller than 5'8" you can typically get 1 Cal per row until you start fatiguing quite a bit which is why the 2:1 ratio of rest/pull is good.

Keto....you guys.....

This is pretty great.  Been on this for about 3.5 weeks.  10#, 1% BF, no energy crashes, never hungry, don't have to eat all the damn time, every single workout feels energetic and strong.  I should have tried this a while ago.

I bought a hand held meter thingy that my old nutritionist used.  Bought some calipers to check accuracy, and they are pretty damn accurate without having to caliper yourself.  It was like $35 on amazon.

CNS have you rowed before?  I ask because you need to have proper technique on an erg to keep from injuring your back.

A good thing to work on while on the erg is your split per 500m. (Big # in the center obviously)

http://www.concept2.com/news/500m-split-what-does-it-mean
Depending on what your goals are there are a few different ways to approach the erg to get to those objectives.
