Haha, that was hunting quail in west Texas.  The 19th - 21st according to my iphone was 42.21 miles, based on steps or whatever for the entire day.  But I was running an actual Garmin GPS which had the numbers around ~26.6 miles for those three days of hunting time only.  Basically, the iphone overstates the distance, at least for me.

Oh, thank god. I thought you were going to say you ran that much.  Whew.

I mean, you would have lost your nipples by Feb 20th at best.

I am still finding/picking cactus spines out of me, though.  I'll take the chaffed nips any day over that.

Posting distance traveled and nothing else, I am assuming the birds weren't awesome?

It was simply put the best three days of bird hunting I have ever had.  First two days were hot and we were only able to hunt till about noon (and even then that was dangerous), but the third day was cooler and overcast all day and we hunted sun up to sun down.  We moved 19 coveys the first day, 28 coveys the second day, and 43 coveys the third day.  Epic.  Previous to that my best quail hunting day was 16 coveys (to put into perspective).  I'll post in the Killing Animals thread once I get some pics done.

That sounds great.  I miss good quail hunting.  We gave up on quail a long time ago.

I'm officially having to put bandages over my nipples now. I'm up to 8 miles a day.  :frown:
Stop running in cotton tees. Use the bodyglide.

This year was great in KS, sorry you missed it.  I moved 16 coveys the last day of the 2014-2015 season, on public ground, all by myself with just 4 dogs.  Best day this season was 11 coveys.

I've finally shredded 10 lbs since the holidays. Time to start lowering my cardio and start pumping the weights.

I am envious. I have been to the gym twice in the last two weeks. (But I did get two rounds of golf in and two outdoor runs.) Interviewing prospective employees and individual conferencing with current caseload has taken its toll.  After I fill the position for which I am holding interviews I fully intend to go back to a five-day gym week.

Holy crap, Copper!  :sdeek: How are you in marathons?

Those numbers aren't real WC08 . . . I realized both Garmin and Strava were feeding the health app monster. But even if you cut those numbers in half that way overstates my mileage. On the 20th, I ran 16.2 and then played 9 holes of disc golf . . . so maybe 18 miles for the day???

Whatever.

Oh, and I do in marathons like most.  Feel like a champ through 20 miles then suffer through the last 6.2.

Did 6 miles with my son on my back on Saturday.  He's only <25 pounds so I figured the Nike's would cut it.  Should have worn my boots.  Couple blisters and feet are sore. I am really really liking that MTN OPS preworkout and protein though.

So good.  Always scoffed at veggie shakes.  Now I am basically addicted to these.

I figure a mature bull is 400ish pounds, just meat (boned out) cape and rack.  I would love to be able to pack him out in two trips with two dudes, so ~100lbs per trip.  Not sure if I haz what it takes though.

I took that pic before adding protein.  It def looks gross then, as well as after I blend it.  However, it is a really good version of a virgin bloody.  Very delish.

I used to do green smoothies with fruits and kale and spinach and stuff. It ended up being a lot of work so I quit though.

I used to do berries with spinach, bananas on occasion, and unflavored protein, easy and delicious.
