you guys the whole getting married and then royals playoff month and now holidays has been a lot of bingeing and also really taken all my gym time/energy, so i feel so gross but last night i went in to the gym and hammered out some bench and some lats and some abs and then hit the elliptical and then ran a half mile, probably going to do it again tonight and maybe push for the whole mile  :excited:

I made it 3 days so far this week. But all I did was run two miles and bike 15 minutes each day. I kinda rolled around on the ab ball too. The weights looked exhausting so I stayed away from those and picked up a 6 pack on the way home.

swolecat sharing moment:

i am into my third cycle of 5/3/1 cycle. i've always just kind of wandered around and done whatever felt right at the time, but having a specific written plan is helping me maximize my time. i normally only have 45-60 minutes over my lunch break.

its alot more volume than i was used to doing but is working well for strength and body comp progress.

moderate intensity is much better for burning fat. sounds like mocat is a little worried his holiday binge weight has gotten too high.

run for 5 minutes, walk for 3 minutes, run for 5 minutes, walk for 3 minutes, run for 5 minutes. use HIIT when you get in better shape...

I'm not sure about that. It sounds like your just talking about going into a calorie deficit by doing a lot of work. HIIT can help change body composition. Maybe do both mocat.

Incline of one and a 4.3 pace burns nothing but fat. Running at a higher pace can kill fat and muscle. #Science

Do you want to lose weight and look kinda the same? Or do you want to lose weight and look like you're capable of doing explosive things really fast? If you don't care I understand that too

I think there's some confusion here. HIIT is like doing 10 rounds of 10-20 second sprints up a hill, with 2 minutes or so of rest in between. It's probably the best way to do cardio.
