Confession: After being consistently pretty fit and healthy, I got lazy about mid-Sept of last year and just stopped working out.  Fast forward to last week when I finally got disgusted enough with myself after putting on ~ 20 lbs of "bad weight".

Plan of attack: Although I have a pretty good concept of the how/what/why process of strength & conditioning, I spent several hours one evening last week searching for a well designed workout plan that included a diet as well. I found the "Bizzy Guide: 21 Day Start Phase" that was produced by Muscle Pharm (The supplement company) because it seemed to make sense as a good "starter program", especially for someone who'd been lazy for about 10.5-11 months.

I embarked upon my journey back to physical fitness on Friday, Aug. 1 and I can tell you that the diet is surprisingly adequate although it seemed like there wasn't going to be enough calories when I first read it.  I can also tell you that, despite using insanely light weights for the first four workouts, I am sore as a motha-fucka!!

Ps - Great thread and glad y'all keep this up.

Mid-month check in:

Have followed the program religiously since Aug. 4 and as of Sunday morning knocked off 8 lbs.  Feeling much stronger and endurance is up quite a bit also.

after a series of new-to-me injuries i am ready to head back to beast city

goals:

-slam dunk basketball
-jump off roof of building and grab onto bottom of helicopter and climb into helicopter (overpower pilot and take control of helicopter)
-lift heavy crap
-run short to moderate distances quickly
-wear clothes from before i had a desk job
-singlehandedly flip over police cars after we go 13-0, or swat tanks after we go undefeated and get left out of the playoff.

I could push the ball over the rim when I was 20. Pretty sure if I put in the work, I could dunk. Never seriously worked out in my life.

Been doing P90x style workouts for a couple years now, pretty good results.  Now that I travel 3 weeks out of the month, I bring resistance bands with me to workout in my hotel room since lots of hotels have really pud weights and bands are very versatile.  Getting pretty bored with the p90x workouts, and I am having trouble finding some good/intense resistance band workouts on the web.  Anyone know any good resources?

Weighed in at 236 yesterday. Want to get down to 215-220 range, but since my head is so huge I may look weird if I get much skinnier and if so I'll probably give up then.

Don't take a photo of your feet while wearing these or people will start claiming you have big feet.

P.S. Why would you only wear them for workouts?

I do have big feet. I don't think guys care about having big feet. And i don't wear them around because I don't like the feeling of walking with flat soles. But they are perfect for workouts for that very reason.

I bought them on amazon. I got the black soles on purpose, I love that look. Of course some people will think just the opposite.

It's a weird shade of purple to go with black, that's all I'm saying.

Yes we can. The purple with the white were the only ones I could find for a long time. Finally I came across purple on black.
