I have been intermittent fasting for the last month. If anyone wants to try some craziness give that a shot.

I started a thread about this a while ago. I didn't do it long enough to see any results. I lost a bunch of weight recently by doing very, very minimal carbs, drinking only once a week, and fasting once a week. Now I'm training for a weight lifting competition so I eat carbs, but only after workouts. Basically a  lazy man's version of carb backloading.
Drinking once a week is my weight loss trick. I love to have a couple of pints with dinner while traveling for biz. It sure does add up on my waistline. I've dropped three pounds this week - no travel and a six pack spread over the last two Saturdays. I need to be more disciplined while traveling.

What kind of weightlifting comp?

Strong man inspired, but it's local so nothing too crazy. Dead lift max, power clean and overhead press max, time grip test, conditioning circuit (pushing a sled, flipping a 500lb tire, farmer walk) for a time.

If you win, you may very well find yourself with a nice fat contract to be goEMAW.com's first sponsored strength athlete. Good luck.

Tip: When you finish a nice set at the gym, feel free to let out a primal guttural scream. You've earned it, and it lets everyone in the gym know you're cool and you're in charge.

Benja is grabbing this thread by the horns and lifting it right up over his head.

Benja, give me a 20 minute workout plan I can do every morning with the following equipment: treadmill, dumbbells, dumbbell adjustable bench. TIA.

Sunrise: Wake up, fling yourself out of bed and throw open the curtains all in one fluid motion. Smile at the sun and give thanks to the old gods and the new that you are alive to embrace another day. Walk to the bathroom, throw cold water on your face, and look at yourself in the mirror. Exclaim; "I am a goddamn machine of precision engineering. Let's go to work".

Walk downstairs, (or upstairs, or into the appropriate room), jump on the treadmill, and do 2 minutes or brisk walking while visualizing the workout to come. Ramp up the speed to about 80% of a sprint for the next three minutes. Head to the bench and do the following supersets for 10 minutes: dumbell bench and one-arm dumbell rows, standing dumbell press and bent-over dumbell rows, and pushups and situps. Jump back on the treadmill and do another 3 minute brisk run, followed by a 2 minute walking cool-down. You're done.
