I've been down this road before....a number of times.   I've yo-yo'ed between 160 and nearly 200 probably 5 times since college.

Best method I have found is low weight, high rep weight training, combined with a diet you can tolerate.  If you want to lose the most the fastest, it's Atkins, or some other low carb option.  If you want to keep your special lady friend on the same diet as you, then South Beach or Weight Watchers is the best option....but you lose it slower than low carb.

I could lose 3-5 pounds a week on low carb for months.  On Weight Watchers I have lost about 2 per week, but have been generally pretty happy and able to eat food in most situations (work dinners, road trips, family get togethers, etc.).

Booze is my weakness.  I like the booze, so I had to switch to Mich Ultras and Vodka Fresca's.

bulimia gets a bad rap.  I mean, it sounds like a pretty ideal method other than having to throw up and stuff.

I'm getting ready to head into my Sunday shred the crap and pump it up weight session and thought I'd check out how the puds were doing with weight watchers and yoga.  I'm maintaining 240lbs while dropping body fat.  I have recorded every calorie I've put in my body for the last 6 months.  I shock my body by changing up my workouts and routines.  High Intensity Intervals... Pullups... core excercises... drastically reduced alcohol intake.  SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP!!  All keys to putting on healthy lean muscle and feeling like the ALPHA EMAW we should all be....

Oh and fistfulls of steroids and blow.

THE END

I like to surprise my abs with a situp in a randomly selected week. Really mix it up and keep 'em tense and guessing. Sometimes, I'll fake a situp in between actual situps.

I do this too.  I call it "putting on socks."

Sometimes I'll start to lace up my shoes then just slip them on. Keeps those obliques perky and alert.

Also, I met a fat old guy here who has a system for putting his socks in his shoes first, using some doohicky he rigged like a long-handled sock horn so he never has to actually reach his own feet. He was quite proud of it.

i signed up for a 5k in March. i have never participated in one, and although I used to run track in high school and was pretty good at it, anything more than 800m has always been an absolute nightmare for me. i hate it. however i am pretty excited to use this as a goal to work towards. i am already in better shape than i was 2 weeks ago.  :driving: <-- except running
