called it.

Found myself, racquetcat, Sundance_Kid, Ging, and Slimz at Celtic Fox enjoying the mediocre lunch buffet and ever more mediocre basketball game.  Would suggest venue with less elderly and less senatorial types for future Topakas.

it was quality company, but i think a nascent 'pak chapter should try to make sure there will be drinking going on at their first event.

and eff saul for not showing.

It's all raquetcats fault guys! He picked the venue. A place full of senatorial types very super pac and un super pak. A place that didn't allow EMAW raucousness to flow with all its glory. Who does that guy think he is? Making reservations and ensuring we have a table with a good view of the tv. :)

Seriously though, it was good company, terrible game. I would recommend a different place in the future though. Next time, definitely drinking. Definitely. It just didn't seem the place for a pak. No offense raquetcat! I appreciate the work you did. I haven't been to many places in town, so I'm afraid I don't have too good of a recommendation for the future. I'll scout out some options.

Also, more of you Topeka EMAW need to come out. Jesus tits, we get reservations for 8 and we get 4/5? We had the reservations under goEMAW and then have that turnout. Unforgivable!

Also eff this Ging guy for making me google nascent!

This Sundance guy, I like his fervor.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I have it on good authority that Saul LOVES a good sausage fest, especially at Old Chicago or the chinese buffet at 17th and Fairlawn.

But yes, thanks to raquetcat for making all the arrangements for the inaugural Topaka.    For future Topakas I suggest Blue Moose, or Skinny's.   SKinny's is pro-KU during KU games, but is a solid viewing location, and they loudly play game audio which is a bonus.

Blue Moose doesn't seem like the kind of place that would be cool with torrents of raging EMAW.  Skinny's is a good choice IMO.  Goose Again could also be a contender.  I would feel comfortable walking into either of those places with an armload of Alma Cheese Curds.

Quite the list, if I took care of the first two, would you bring your own settlers of catan?

Blue Moose rolls with it.   I had a rowdy crowd there for the KSU-KU game and no one freaked out at me yelling "I like make eff" several times throughout the night....

All I want for the next Topaka is a place that will let me stuff my face with with cheese curds and drunkenly scream "DUNKS ON BITCHES!!!!!!!!1111!!!' without getting kicked out.
