I know BMW brings a lot on himself, but I think we should lighten up on him. He's a good guy, I think.
Based on...?
We're a pretty mean group around here, overall. A lot of us don't recognize it, because we get it. We kill fanning because he's goofy and we know he can take it. We killed haverhill and he up and left. I've met both of those guys, and they're really nice. But either they get it and hang around (like fanning), or they grow tired of the abuse and leave (like Havs). That's how most people react. Fight or flight and all that. We're joking around and virtually everybody gets that.
Beems doesn't though, and with him, a lot of us aren't joking around. He takes it seriously. It's a comedy of errors with that guy, from him revealing that he got a DUI, to him ramming home that 60+ thing ITT. He doesn't have the sense to stay away for good, and he's absolutely awful at defending himself against the pack.
I'm not saying that I advocate giving him a free pass, but it's important to recognize that Beems is a different, defenseless stockholm syndrome case. To borrow a daxism, it's sad, really.
