Just saw this on the news.

Apparently it's a huge deal. I don't think a girl has ever won the Daytona 500 before. I did not have a favorite race car driver, but I am going to start cheering for Danika Patrick.

what is the race car fan stance on this? on the one hand, she's a woman. but on the other, she's white. they must be torn.

I don't really know the names of most races, but I know that I have heard of the Daytona 500. If she starts the race at the front, I bet she has a really good chance of winning the Daytona 500 today.

I was driving to work today and had a slow driver in front of me and slow drivers in the lane next to me so I couldn't get by. She should get a friend and try that. It was effective

Well, bad graphics or not, she is the pole position winner, according the news that I saw. So, basically she is going to win the Dayton 500.

How long before we start seeing stickers on the back of trucks with her number? Monday?

However, I am hoping that wherever I watch the basketball games today has the Daytona 500 on one of the TV's. This Danika thing has my interest PEAKED!

If I was her I would just floor it at the very beginning and keep it floored until the end. since she's starting at the front that should guarantee she wins unless she wrecks into a fence.
