Holy Crap, I have a friend who did that and now works with Improv Olympics in LA. I don't think its making her rich but she's doing what she loves

i have a buddy that did some Improv comedy. it's stupid. he paid like $8k to join an improv troop in NYC and so i went to see him and his girlfriend who also joined the comedy improv troop. they are terrible and incredibly stupid. improv is not comedy and if i were a true comedian i would have it outlawed, same with jokes about racial things. i assume these guys are in a union or something similar to SAG, you would think they'd be outlawed by their peers because they give the funny people such as Tyler Perry a bad name.

Basically all I'm saying is that for stand up comedy clinics in the Los Angeles (LA) area you cannot beat this guy. The rest of them are amateur hour. the doctor of jokes is in and his name is Greg Dean.

limestone if you're serious about learning more, i have a friend who runs a magic shop in downtown KC. i'd recommend you get your feet wet with magic and work your way into comedy. my buddy is in an improv troop in NYC and that's how he got his start. let me know if you want more info on the magic shop in downtown KC and i will hook you up. thx.

This stand up clinic seems legit, but I would need one to compare/contrast with before I could make a choice. Its my career we would be talking about here, so these decisions can't be made lightly

HAHA, good luck with that. I doubt you will find someone with knowledge of another stand up comedy school at goEMAW. I stopped looking when I found the best, Greg Dean. The JokePhd.
