I have no idea what the criteria for that category is though. they have old bands up for new artist all the time.also:http://pitchfork.com/news/45321-bon-iver-turned-down-playing-the-grammys-we-kind-of-said-eff-you-a-little-bit/I've always thought he was kind of a tool. Anthony Bourdain is what happens when people lose the fear of having their ass kicked because of their words.

"Son. This is why we are wildcats. Hard work, pride, the heart of this country. And if that's not enough for you, you can just move to California with your punk friends."
Computer music is real and great. So are award shows.
Bon Iver - s/t is absolutely gorgeous. I'm glad actual decent music won instead of shitty computer music. There is hope, folks.

Quote from: WillieWatanabe on February 13, 2012, 09:43:21 AMi enjoyed the Chipotle commercial that debuted during the telecast. I laughed when I saw it was Chipotle. An anti-large-corporation ad from one of the largest McCorporations on earth. Great commercial though.

Anthony Bourdain is what happens when people lose the fear of having their ass kicked because of their words.Well, I supposed that's true, but it's not exactly what I was getting at. Both are very talented, but they're tortured souls. They want their craft to be authentic and untouched by commercialization, yet they're both drawn to fame and money and they can't help it. If they were being honest with themselves and everyone else, Bon Iver would provide his music for free on the internet and refuse to recognize things like the Grammy's and Bourdain wouldn't make piles of cash through a television show and by selling his food and recipes. The things they say and preach are honorable, but the things they do fly in the face of what they claim to stand for. Rather douchey.
Oh, and Adele sucks.
