i used to really just drink reds, but lately i've been more and more into whites.  it's kinda odd.

las rocas garnacha is pretty good.

Tomorrow I think I'm drinking Montebuena.  Any other cheap recommendos?  Like Chilean/Argentinian malbecs, garnachas and catalayuds.

i've just about finished off a bottle of hornitos resposado.  strong agave flavor, which i love, but also has a bit of a burn.  probably better for mixing than sipping.  i plan to get an anejo next.  will probably try to pick something highly rated on tequila.net.

Saw something at Gram & Dun with Patron, Lime juice, grapefruit juice, falernum, and some other stuff.  Maybe I'll try that.

Frozen lemonade
Cilantro
Strawberries

Mix the lemonade but sub one can of water for tequila.   Muddle cilantro and add to lemonade mix.   Slice strawberries and add to lemonade.   Let sit for two hours.

Pro tip:  el jimador is a great bargin save the patron for a simple lime juice and tequila cocktail

I'll try it.  Patron is only $35 at Costco so not too worried about the money.   Do you think the thing I mentioned with the grapefruit sounds good?  They call it an urban mesa, I'm interested.

I'm sipping on a Paloma poolside.  It's pretty tasty.  I went with diet squirt for the grapefruit soda.

I always  when people make patron margaritas.  I don't think patron is anything special, but if you get anything nicer than Cuervo or Sauza for margs, you're an idiot.  Mixing top shelf liquor with soda/anything but water or ice is hilariously dumb.
