Do Kansans have a certain aura or look?

Last night I was at a networking event for young attorneys in Philadelphia.

The first person to walk up to me was also from Kansas.  Do we just attract each other?  Somehow the other person from Kansas always finds me.

Holy crap, I was at a young lawyer networking thing just this week and no less than 3 Kansans walked up to me!

Also, recently I was stuck in an elevator.  And the other guy in the elevator with me was from Kansas.  

How does it keep happening?
