I repeat, this is NOT an unknown blog guy citing a "friend" who "works in the TV industry".

So keep that in mind, it's ONLY the Wall Street Journal.

Surprised KU is up so high, figured they would be around 100.

Nice to see Louisville up there.

Surprised Missouri was as low as they were, in all honesty.  That's an interesting list.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Minnesota is pretty high for being one of the worst programs in college football right now.

Well, I feel as though I must remind each of you that this was published in the Wall Street Journal, so please have your salt shakers at the ready.   That is no obscure blog citing unnamed "tv insiders" by any stretch.

Ryan Brewer, an assistant professor of finance at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus, calculated the intrinsic valuations for 115 of the 120 teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision (excluding Air Force, Navy, Tulane, Tulsa and Wake Forest).

Thank You OB  :kstategrad:

Ouch at KU being the lowest of any AQ conference school.
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

RE: WSJ: Football program valuations
Clearly he is valuing the programs solely on the basis of recent earnings and not taking into account potential earnings. There are a bunch of BCS programs that have way less earning potential than KU.

Maybe factors in stadiums?  KU's stadium can't be worth more than 80k?

I like how, with the exception of 9 SEC schools, KSU is more valuable than every single SEC school.
