Not sure, honestly. Just feels horrible, and '08-'09 really didn't for me. Expectations, and prospects of Pullen and Denis probably.

I had convinced myself after Hawaii + MU win that we wouldn't be at risk of missing the Tourney until at least 2014, depending on Frank's recruiting over the next year+.

Now it seems like we fell from lock to the wrong side of the bubble in an instant. Just crushing right now.

I give us a 0.9% chance in Columbia. Waco is possible but still highly unlikely imo. I do give us a puncher's chance against KU/UT though, but then again, I give ISU and A&M a puncher's chance in Manhattan. ISU probably more than that.

It is worse than 08/09 because there isn't even the veil of hope that there was after that year.  We had a recruiting class (Wally and McGruds) that looked pretty good and had Curtis Kelly who would become eligible.  And of course everyone was counting on Jamar not being Jamar.  I mean, we had Colon and Kent on the blocks...and were  a bubble team...then we were adding Wally, Curtis, and an older Jamar.  There was hope.  Now?  I mean, jfc.  There is no hope.  Will's not the answer, Angel is not the answer.....and  we're bringing in bigs, who as of right now, aren't really an upgrade to what we have (of course we'll probably need bigs once Frank gets done running Jordan off).  In summary, this isn't the hope of getting better.

Angel getting better is the only legitimate hope, imo.  But I don't think he will get better enough to make up for Will sucking.  Sugar and Spice < Pop Guns

Plenty of hope for next year, probably just zacker being zacker though. This team is capable of beating UT on the road and KU at home. How we finish depends on how many more games Frank coaches at a lower level than he is capable of.

Not likely IMO. Our SOS/RPI won't be good enough. We have to get to .500, and even that will be bubble land IMO. 10-8 would be good, and 9-9 with a win or two in the league tourney would probably be good. Right now we are looking right at a fight with UT (and maybe OU) for #5 in the league. Maybe ISU will slip, but we'll see.

Frank is capable of winning several of the games left on our schedule with this team. He has turned in some pretty suspect performances lately but I bet he turns in some good performances down the stretch.
