This game was not a surprise.

I'm surprised. I never thought we'd go down there and allow OU to score like that.

First comment out of Frank on postgame - I was right when I was mean to Stan on Tuesday.

Maybe Stan should start being mean back. "Hey Frank, have YOU ever heard of defense?!"

He has to practice all the stuff he really wants to say in the mirror every morning, but then he can't find the courage to deliver the zinger.

so, like, everyone back to reality yet?  this team is NIT-ish.  remember when we drilled a good MU team at home in 08/09?

Tay did not play in the 2nd half i dont believe.   JO barely played the 2nd half.    Is it a wonder our D was as bad as it was in the 2nd half.

I thought if we lost it would be because our offense was sputtering, not because we played horrible defense.   Being on the road shouldn't make you play bad defense.

I don't know what can be done though.

I felt we'd be hosting a pity party cause of Baylor loss and OU being sucky lately didn't help either.

Still think Frank will get this team to NCAA, but it looks like it will be a photo finish.

That team also had already lost to really bad Iowa and Oregon teams. I thought (and still think) this team is different. We'll see.

We need a PG.  Like, really bad.

We have to find more scoring.

No, this was the exception, not the rule. Too early for your triumph.

We could try putting our better defenders (Tay, Ar-T) on the floor. Maybe. Dunno. We could also not go to zone every time the other team calls a timeout so we don't give up an open 3.

Our scoring has been adequate. We need to stop turning the ball over 20 times per game.

this looks like a hybrid of 06-07 and 08-09 - the MU win and Diamond head will get us in

I don't think Tay is that great a defender, I mean he's solid but the lack of him on the floor isn't enough to cause the problems we have had.  The zone is not the issue.

But then again I am not offering any solutions either so there's that.

I'm tempted to jump on this bandwagon at this point.

I think everyone knows this but Angel was not hurt.    He had his warmup off the whole game waiting for his name to be called.      The kid is gonna play like a freshman at times, but he has to be in the rotation.     Will can't play PG every second he is in the game.......... and our offense is laughable when neither is in at the point (Poor Shane being forced to play PG today)

Likewise on defense, Tay is our best on ball defender and its not close.   JO disrupts a ton of shoots inside of 8 feet.     We need these two in the rotation for our defense to stay in sinc.

If you want to cut down the minutes in certain games, fine................but to just flat out take them out of the equation.   STUPID.  or should i say FRANKID

You would kougs, you would

You're right. Going zone out of timeouts--usually around the 12-min mark in the 2nd--has totally caught our opponents off-guard and disrupted their offense.

Chingon

Question: who is our best on-ball perimeter defender?
