there cannot be a more losery way to fly than standby on southwest. fantastic news for Wichita though.

you guys, it's wichita. Southwest will be a dramatic upgrade. Yeah it may say delta on the inside but on the inside it's all atlantic southeast or great lakes.

but really, you probably did. I know America West was flying 737's out of wichita as late as 2001. And American probably still has some of the MD-80's or whatever going to Dallas.

American only flies MD-80's out of Wichita. Southwest 737's would ne nice but most of the Airtran 717's have new'ish interiors and seem nicer than a lot of the Southwest aircraft.

allegiant is the king of towny air carriers. any non hub city should bend over for them.

This is true and the crappy service has not stopped me from using them. I just pray the person assigned to the seat next to me is atleast hygene conscious.
