It's not up to par with red dead, but def worth it. imo.Compare contrast it with Fallout3 and Oblivion type games.Uhmm. Nothing like them. It's kind of like Red Dead, in a way, where it's not that linear, you can kind of do what you want. It's a "sandbox" type game, a large area you can roam around do what you want. If you don't feel like laying down 50-60 for it, pick up the first one for 10-15 bucks used anywhere and see if you like it. They aren't too different.Dude, there is nothing linear about Fallout3 or Oblivion. Have you played them? They make Red Dead seem like a straight line.I wasn't saying it was not linear compared to FO3 or Oblivion. I know those games aren't linear. I'm saying Crackdown isn't completely linear.IF YOU COULD SPEAK GAMER, i'd just say "Sandbox game"

Civilization V looks pretty sweet, and I think I could get back into that genre (played the Caesar games back in the day). What's the learning curve going to be like if I jump in with Civ V, having never played Civ before?
