i got red dead last night, this game is pretty cool

I'm like 97% complete. If you have questions or want to discuss the crazy dreams, or if you start feeling the urge to shoot every animal/pick every flower you see, let me know.

This is basically all I've been doing.

If you've played this game before, and you think you're good at it, well you're not. Not compared to me.  I'm the best. The best ever.

I'm getting nowhere in RDR. I'm spending way too much time on strangers, random events, getting Wanted people, hunting, exploring, etc.

I played horseshoes for nearly an hour yesterday just trying to win 1 game.  Gave up and shot the [redacted].
Where did you get that overnight bag?

what always happens to me is i get lost and can't figure out how to start a new mission.  should i just go wait outside bonnie's place for her to give me one?  so far i think i've done one mission, the rest of the time i've been regulating.

i'd like to form a gang of outlaws and ride the wild west.

I'm guessing you need to go the Marshalls office and start a mission there.  Just head to the closest letter on the map.  Sometimes you can't start a mission before you finish another mission.

i was at the marshalls office in her ranch and picked the safe and stole some stuff then just bribed the cop.  i think there's another marshall office in the other town that the stagecoach takes you to, i'll try his office.

i think i could check my journal to find out where i am in the mission.

anyone recommendo some supplies that come in handy from the gen store?

was thinking about buying the "advanced camp" thing, allows you to fast travel to anywhere on the map.

It's not too hard if your bets are low. Aiming is a bitch, but the power and release isn't tough. I start low, go full blast up and hit the trigger when the gauge is at the lowest marker. It usually ends up on the middle one for a decent throw.

Just look at your map, set a way point to the things with letters (B for Bonnie, M for the Marshall, etc.). You can't start them at certain times of day. Bonnie won't be available at night. When you get to the place, there should be a yellow X you walk to.

How do you set way points?

Just hover the crosshairs on where you want to go and hit A. It will show on your map on your HUD where to go.

God damn it!   :curse:  I should have bought that one from the gun shop in Thieves Landing, but instead I bought the Winchester from the gun shop in Armadillo.  The Winchester is great, but I got a free one on a mission with the Marshall to the mass murder at the ranch northwest of Armadillo.

Word to the wise, do not buy a Winchester, wait and get your free one.    Sooooo rough ridin' pissed about this.

So far, I have only found two places to sell me guns....Armadillo gun shop and Thieves Landing gun shop.  Anyone know any other good spots?  I just finished the "Getting Ammo for the Gatling Gun" mission, so that's about how far I am....I haven't unlocked any other territories or what not yet.

I think you're a couple missions ahead of me. I have one more for Seth and I need to do all of Irish. Then I think I can raid the fort. I think these are the only gun shops I've seen. Should I pick up the sawed off shotgun?

I seriously have no idea how anyone could play those games without waypoints. I would find it frustratingly horrible.
