also, like hemmy said, u3 is pretty damn easy.  a lot of fun, but they force feed you puzzle solutions and paths to follow when being chased, etc.  i wish they didn't do that.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

i like how IGN reviews their games, breaking the ranking down into different components.

IGN is the absolute worst.  The just copy and paste 9 for every AAA release.

I like Kotaku. They dont review alot of games, but they do more explaining it than judging it. Also samples other reviews from other websites.

i don't use reviews, in isolation, to determine whether or not i'm buying a game.  i use them to see what the game is all about and then read other reviews, then user reviews, the demos of the game, then yada yada yada.  i think IGN does a good job of talking/explaining a game.

My nephew bought me a copy of Drake's Fortune 3 b/c he wants to play it when I'm home for thanksgiving. I said why not mw3 and he said his mom doesn't like violent video games. Pretty sure he's pulling one over on the old mom. Also, I bought him mw3 and put it in a different case. A little conflicted at first, but I'm embracing being "that uncle."

There are some people on this board who can make that statement.  You are not one of them.

Deception. I played it for about 30 min last night. And by played, I mean watched 20 minutes of cut scenes and then shot some bad guys/hung off cliffs.

that's crazy,  i'm a couple hours into and haven't watched 20 mins of cut scenes yet.  i wonder if you got a pirated, non-official version.

Kotaku also does a "frankenreview" where they get a pretty diverse group of opinions from other major sites.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has 10 times as many cut scenes

This is probably what happened. The nephew is a little sketchy. Also, am enjoying the game.
