It never was about taking the best team from your conf. anyway.  The SEC did try by offering Owho but they were too scared to come and so was texass.  Which really, it wasn't as much about getting them as it was getting a bigger footprint  in the media markets.  Adding the Mizzou markets along with the texas AM markets increases the SEC footprint from 53million tvs to 82million.  That will allow the SEC to create its own network.  A network that people will actually pay for.  Unlike the ou and texas networks that were trying to be created.  People will actually pay to watch the product put out by the SEC which will be the best obviously.   That's what the entire deal was with getting those schools to join. 

The next two additions to the conference will be the same type thing. Getting into the eastern part of the country and adding the best schools that have the best tv markets.  Like say, a VaTech.  and perhaps a FSU.   As for mizzou winning anything.  im afraid that mizzou is about to realize what big boy football is all about.  I figure aTm will have an easier transition because they will be able to lure in all the texas talent by just name dropping the SEC conf. alone.  They still will have a transition to go through though. Make no mistake about that.  Oh well, Its ok though.  The SEC is a joke conference.  They are laughing all the way to the bank while being the richest conference, with the best of everything and most champions in any sport.       Oh but hey, you guys can always say you are the best conference again next  year and see how that goes.  Sooner or later you have to prove it.
