Baylor,

Good luck with the free fall this year after you get exposed in the DOOM.

Heslip and Jackson are probably the key to the game. Tay Tay and the Doc (and whoever else guards Jackson and Heslip) are going to have to do well.

containing heslip, limiting their o boards and keeping our ftr reasonable.  i expect a double digit win.

I don't think I can handle any more "rivals" that never beat us. One from the lone star state is enough.

I wonder if the Baylor Baptists have to do a mission like the BY Mormons?  And if so, I wonder if Pierre Jackson has done his?  And if not, I wonder if he'd like some info on international mission work?

:excited: Predictos like this do nothing to quell my EMAW and high expectations for the rest of the year.

curious to see how you think Jones and Acy will fare...

they'll get their points.  rebounds too.  i like both of them as players.  baylor can score.  the problem is their zones are crap.  they looks good against crap teams because they are so long, and they get stats nerds like _fan all excited about holding lamar to 0.65 ppp, but good teams tear it apart.  then baylor has to go man and they aren't a great man team because they spend all their time practicing zone.

i like their 1-3-1 better than their 2-3.  the 2-3 is crap.

their other problem is that their guards still turn the ball over constantly.  they've got one guard that can shoot, one that can defend and one that can handle.

get stats nerds like _fan

Was that really necessary?

I think we'll be fine against Baylor. Their defense is better this year, but I agree a lot has come from destroying bad teams. They do have some decent wins and I'm a bit impressed that they've shown they can win a couple grinder type games like they did against Miss St and aTm. Granted, I think we're better and we'll win, but still this is better for Baylor than they've shown in the past.

The Baylor zone with Acey, Jones, and other long armed athletic human beings is the best it has been, so McGrduer aggressively driving to the elbow of the zone and hitting some mid-range will be important. Of course, if we just hit some 3s and get them out of the zone I think we're in better shape. Chances of this slim though. This has to be the most angry environment their playing in to this point. My EMAW says we edge it out and win by 6. My pocket book, if filled with gambling available cash, says Baylor.

Bold and daring predicto: Jamar commits 2  :bang: fouls in the first half, that, combined with 1 foul of commission, puts him on the bench midway through the 1st half. Baylor dunks on bitches with ease. We trail by 8 at half. Over/under on Stan Weber mentioning us being a second half team is set at 6 (I'm going with the over).
