against a fast well prepared defense. It always ends the same way.
I also really hate the long form version of that movie, the one with the tedious section where they have a long time to "prepare" for a game an they're drinking a lot of coffee and installing all kinds of variations and schemes that only leave the offense confused and lost once they get to the climatic big game. THe breaking down of film, the white board, the . . .the paralysis by analysis, it's gut wrenching.
There's always that part during the big game sequence where everybody is all confused and out of sorts and then they rally and you're hooked . . but as always the camera flashes to the Snyder-Dimel-Miller main characters and the camera makes you feel the wheels turning inside their head . . . and you know its coming, they'll start scheming again, and kill all momentum.
Then there's the sub-plot, the inter-play between child and father that gives you that bad feeling throughout, you know something bad is going to happen . . . and darn it the big game part comes and bam . . . disaster, and you have to deal with that, and that's always an awkward, queasy feeling.
