I’m not concerned about Jamar fouling, I’m concerned with Jamar being able to guard him.  It isn’t like MU just has English stand on the wing and fire away three’s.  And then my other question was in regards to who else do we throw in there at the “4” to guard a “3” .  My guess is South-meth.  Finally, I was opining on the idea that this game highlights the waste of space that Nino and Omari are because they would help out with minutes in our 3 / 4 rotaiton.

That's the fun of a chessmatch of a game like this with weird match-ups. Each team has to deal with issues on how they are going to guard, and whoever does it better should win. I like that we're at home and usually we do a better job of forcing the issue and making the game a brawl in Bramlage; if that's the case we have a large advantage. I don't think Missouri wants this to be a physical game and if we can manage to make it go that way we'll be in good shape. If we let Missouri run and give up too much penetration then we'll be in trouble.

If Jamar is really on English and vice/versa, then (a) jamar has to absolutely own him on the blocks and draw fouls and (b) our other "big" has to OReb his emaw off.  because I think when/if we get jamar the ball on the block, MU is going to double down with a wing or the other big.  We should get some good looks out of this if Jamar can pass.

Yep. In theory its a game where Gipson could give them some fits in stretches of well. Of course he would have to guard too, which could be problematic. Not sure what to do with JO, part of me thinks if he would just play with the intensity he did at times in Lawrence he might be able to give MU trouble, but who knows if he'll do that.

My thought is this: nothing as a K-State fan will ever be worse than those days following St Louis. Nothing.

And if we're to a point where losing a bowl game to a Top 10 team and losing basketball games to clearly the top teams of the league are disappointing it is a good thing because each program has significant expectations.

High expectations are awesome until you fall short and get heartbroken. If we don't win two of the next three, I'll be crushed.

losing games at home should always be a disappointment, winning a big 12 game on the road should always feel like christmas.

we also lead the series by 2 now correct?

Also, it doesn't feel like we just beat a top 10 team. weird. I was way more pumped for these in years past. I blame the 12:30 start.

They claim we only lead the series by one.  We claim it's two.

He wishes, considering I owned you with Jamar's fouling stats from previous years. :nono:  He also gave me a patented Jamar double-foul for good measure.

I do feel silly for fearing Southmeh's involvement in this game though.

your stats from previous years are more relevant than this years stats and more relevant than the fact that he was guarding a guy who dribbled once every 4 games?  Also Jamar was such a dick on the double foul when he allowed himself to get thrown into the goal support.

My hatred of the point was only relevant to this game.  The several times I mentioned English only being a jump shooter would have made that point crystal clear to anyone who watches more than 3 basketball games a year.
