very edgy, i hope you're proud of yourself.

the hell.

you seem pretty worked up about losing a road game to ku.  they lose a game there, what, every 3 years?  every 4 years?

ku looked horrible though, and they have one good player.  so.... i feel like it is somewhat understandable for people to be disappointed.

Releford went for 16 points and 11 rebounds, proving that even our 4th or 5th best player is better than anyone on your roster.

PP: KU played their best game of the year and KSU played their worst. Yet, it was a 3 point game with 12 minutes to go on the road. In the past KU simply shut down KSU because they were better than them. Last night KSU shut down KSU. Simply played a horrible game. I doubt you'll see KSU play this bad again and KU will struggle to play that well again. Just an off night.

I don't know if KU played their best.

I can say that we played our worst.

K-State hadn't played a team as good as KU all season, or in an environment like AFH.  Your team was way overrated based on a couple decent wins against Alabama and Long Beach State.  I still think you guys might be a #1 seed in the NIT, though.

I think getting our ass kicked last night works in our favor for the game on Saturday.  Losing on the road in the Big 12 is what is supposed to happen.  This loss means nothing.  Now if we lose the next two at home, that's different.  But I think after Frank murders them in practice, we will be back to the team that played in Hawaii, and we will win the next 2.

You played an NIT Hawaii tournament, and came out as the #1 seed.   FYI.

I enjoyed the KU walk-on literally falling over with excitement after fellow walk-on Travis Releford made a 3 pointer. Was kind of a rough stretch for me, but that made it much more fun.

Yes.  He overestimated the excitement of those behind him when he stuck his arms out and fell.

I almost think it was orchestrated. Because he did it again later IIRC.

We also dominated a team (LBS) that you almost lost to at home, that almost beat UNC at home, that DID beat Pitt at home.   I will admit we straight up cannot play at AFH.  I don't know what it is, maybe Frank psychs them out with the, no one can win there crap, but losing to KU on the road doesn't mean crap about our team.  Take the last two years for example.

If so, Self is even better than I thought.  Really an entertainer.  Takes care of the smallest details.  Really gotta appreciate such a dedication to the craft(entertaining and falling backward as a walk-on).

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

The middle aged women in the crowd  just wouldn't understand, and most certainly couldn't compete with her.

What was her name? Melba Volvo or something? What a character.

The only thing I’d take issue with is that Jamar in the PP should be changed to “2nd Half Jamar”.  We have lost this game (and every other game in AFH) w/in the first 7 minutes.  That’s where a “leader” does his work, not when the other team takes a break from destroying you and you manager to, under little pressure, knock down some shots.  but that's prolly a bit nitpicky.  I dunno.

And to answer sys’s question about being upset about losing in AFH….it’s not that we lost, I thought we would, it’s the idea that losing is the expectation.  Certainly, most teams don’t “expect” to win in AFH, but I’ve seen that game last night a hundred times out of KSU.  I'd like to think at some point, I would get to expect a better effort.   I’m disappointed because I can’t expect anything other than a performance like last night.

It's rare that I agree with a zacker post, but you're right bro.  I hadn't really thought of it because he was one of 3 players who actually played well for the rest of the game but he was a nonfactor in the first seven.  Still a slight pp overall IMO.

In response to the thread in general:

Jo looked like an absolute clown out there outside of his first couple decent plays.  I'm a pretty big JO supporter.

McGruder with hops awesome, the dunk was fabo

How the hell do you leave Teahan open in the corner?

Tay, like a boss.

Nino, well done sir.

KU crowd gets loud at odd times examples: boy do they love their pregame videos, they also love the decible meter (shown twice i think only in timeouts, also cheer loudly for pop up video and crowd trivia.  unimpressive during the game really.

HOW THE HELL DO YOU NOT GUARD TEAHAN IN THE CORNER

lol at Releford's double travel no call.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

They would prefer games like Howard ALL THE TIME. They don't handle adversity well.

Meh. Typical KU t-shirt fan, didn't go to KU, took her 104 years to get out to a game.

Meanwhile, this super EMAW graduated from K-State, covered Wildcat football for UPI, and is 105 years old:

EDIT: pretty sure the KU fan was 104 and the rivalry is 105 years old, not the reverse as mcmwcat said.
