Also, not right this instant, I said "in the next 2-3 seasons", which, now that Pullen, Kelly, and Clemente are gone, we will be able to see if he's really the coach he's looked like in the past.

If this thread isn't a joke I'm killing EMAW4life-JHL. No one's ever heard of him, so no one will know he's gone as long as the body isn't found.

We have some pretty strict rules about threats of violence on this board.  So, you need to make it a promise, and not a threat, then I think it might be OK...not sure, though.  MODS?

He's by far a better coach than Frank. I guess what i should say is:
would you rather have Lon? We're obviously not going to fire Frank.

By far? Based on what?
what he's done at OU is impressive. Martin doesn't seem to be able to coach anything that resembles an offense (although this year is better) and losses like the Iowa St on Dennis senior night, and losing to Colorado 3 times lasat year, show the inability to make adjustments.

Frank's offenses have been more efficient than Kruger's every season he has coached. This year they are essentially even, but Lon has played a much easier schedule.

I can't believe I even took the time to respond to this jerkoff thread, but here it is,

After 5 years with Frank, we're good with a chance to be very good, maybe even great.

We were great early with Lon, then we irreversibly headed toward mediocrity, and he didn't even stick around 5 years to see what would happen after that.

Jerkoff thread????

Looks like a critical and objective evaluation of  "Frank"s track record might be one of the few topics that is actually taboo for goEMAWtards.

I have no problem with a compelling critique of Frank. I haven't seen one in this thread.

He is one of our boys. K-State born and bred.

Grew up just down US-24 in Silver Lake, KS. Was coached by Jack Hartman. He owned Frank in the Sprint Center last year.

I don't think there is any question that this is the time to make this move.

From 1991-2006, how many postseason appearances did we make? How many NCAA tourney wins did we have?

Now, ask those same questions for 2007 through the present. There is no comparison.

Where, at Kruger's numerous stops, has had any long-term success(longer than 5 years)?

K-State fans should hate Kruger much more than Huggins. Kruger contributed greatly to burying K-State hoops.

Ok. Everyone read this and then stop the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) posting.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

What was the real story with Lon's departure?  I had always heard that it involved a cheerleader in some way.  :dunno:

Kruger was banging a cheerleader and then , with the help of Venzy of course, whacked the poor girl and buried her in the Tuttle dam.  Neither former EMAW can return to alma mater.
