its awful but I always have the hope that this year it will be different  :crossfingers:

You have an embarassing fanning-esque story to tell me.
she'll probably be with me  :emawkid: find me mizzou tix though and its done

I can't remember if you told me the story or not.  It looks like I've got one mizzou ticket since stevesie's going to the cotton  bowl instead like a dumbass.  I doubt it'll be hard for you find one other and there should be plenty of room to get all of us in my row.

Sorry guys.  I must have been pretty sleepy.

Tell your neighbors thanks for the beers at the next block party.

Also, y-l_a's buddy tried to kick Tortuga out of his party.

Him: "Do you know anyone at this party?"

Me:  "Sure!  Uhh......Abana!"

Him:  "You should probably think about leaving.  Just think about it."

Dangit, really wanted to meet y-l_a.  FWIW, I didn't get to eat any of the Chinese food.  Ging must have just plowed through it like a runaway train.

8manpick and a certain balding kid with lots of self loathing were very helpful in ridding you of some chinese food, although there were about 300 crab rangoon left. We were also quite abusive to the ging passed out on the couch. If I had been able to find dlew's room I would have undoubtedly been mean to him too...

You guys are really missing out. It's pretty tasty stuff  :lick: Fireball makes an excellent chaser too. Good call ERII!

What's the story on this Carney band? Are they real carnies, or is there some sort of special meaning there? It's so hard to tell nowadays with band names. I prefer a simpler time when bands had names like "Crosby Stills Nash & Young" or "The Jackson 5". People knew who to expect at those shows.

Well Townie_Cat, let me tell you a story about how The Carney Encore got it's name. A friend of a friend of a friend of mine passed this story along to me. Apparently, it's not that far off the lines of "The Jackson Five". "Carney" was the maiden name of the lead singer's mother, so it does happen to be a family name!

I'm even more confused about the name now. S60 is usually on top of things like this, but he is way outnumbered.

Now how does the Encore part play in? Do they just assume the crowd will want to hear more when they are done with their set? In my concert going experiences usually encores are requested by the audience

Regardless of how they got their name they sound like a delightful band and I look forward to the show tonight.
