threads like this really pull out the "have kids" crowd from the "single and alone" crowd.

I'm solidly in neither of those croweds

then you can clearly see how stupid the single and alone crowd is.

Can't really take sides since I don't have kids yet, but questions...

a. Movies are loud as crap these days, wouldn't that scare a 3 month old?
b. If a 3 month old is scared, isn't it going to cry and annoy everybody or cause you to miss the movie by taking it outside?

a. no
b. this thread isn't about a 3 month old crying and annoying everybody. that's an actual issue that any sane person would agree would be an issue.

I am firmly in the :keep your 3 month old out of the movie theater camp: because Mikey4cats might be there and then he'd cause a scene and I might miss part of the movie.

3 month olds don't really keep time very well.  midnight is about the same as any time.  I just don't see taking them to a movie under any circumstances.

Thats just me.  I am a pretty superior parent.

Man, good thing we kicked CU out of the Big 12. We totally avoided this disaster. T&Ps to the victims and the PAC 12. Next time they should do their homework before the let an institution like Colorado in.

These things happen in 3, right?  Meth scandal for SEC's Mizz coming??? :nono:

Not out of the woods yet, even if CU is out of the Big 12.  That is, unless we don't allow kids from Colarado to attend any Big 12 school  Remember, KSU was almost involved in one of these things in 2005.  KSU was at OU and the OU student detonated himself outside the stadium.  He probably was a suicide bomber (even if Homeland Security tries to say otherwise - no nutty attacks by recent converts or Muslims in the U.S. are religious based  - see Ft. Hood or UNC events - according to them, instead the perps are just emotionally distressed).  There are conflicting reports the dude tried to get into the KSU-OU game but was turned away/left because of backpack searches.  Instead, he went out to a bench outside the stadium and blew himself up.

Colorado is a state full of some serious f'ed up people.  They should put a wall around that state and not let 'em out.

Kudos to you limestone.  The 6-year-olds, that's sort of F'ed im some ways worse than the 3-month-old.  However, it is the 6-year-olds at R movies that is real messed up.

yes. i think all normal people are in the no annoying things in the theater/restaurant/etc team. babies crying, loud talkers, people with B.O, cell phones going off, people throwing things, people putting their feet and or knees on the back of your chair. you know, annoying things.

the thing is, the phone is only annoying if it rings and or someone starts talking on it and the baby is only an issue if it starts crying and the parents aren't seated as close as possible to the exit and immediately leave. as long as it's quiet which it more than likely would be, who cares?

Way worse to take a 2-8 year old to an adult movie than a 3-month-old

if your 3 month old is crying at a movie, then take him to the lobby until he's asleep.  then go back to movie.  everybody is cool with that.

i fail to see a problem with taking a 3 month old to a movie, midnight or not.

yeah.  we took our kid to several movies when she was a few months old.  you just sit near the back door in case you have to get up and quiet her down.  no big deal.

i'd rather be in a movie theater with 20 babies than 20 teenagers.

another question:  is the baby in the baby carrier deal?  is that thing in a seat?  did they have to buy a ticket for the baby?  the other day I was forced to fly southwest so no assigned seats.  the flight was full.  everyone got loaded and the last guy couldn't find a seat.  turns out someone with a lap baby had the baby in a seat.  the level of infuriated I was once they finally figured this out and we were late taking off was pretty high.  pretty damn high.

EDIT:  then the whore of a mother got upset about it.  I JUST GOT MYSELF INFURIATED AGAIN THINKING ABOUT IT.  :curse:

They should be banned.  I have bought several seats for LSOCette though half the time SHE DIDN'T EVEN SIT IN THE SEAT BUT RODE IN MY LAP.
