Maybe, I think it's probably a race between Duke, Ohio St, and ourselves. The team of those three that's most impressive in its conference tourney probably gets the 1 seed.

If we win the Big 12 tourney we probably have a chance I would think...or if Duke and Ohio St don't win.

Ohio St would make me pretty upset but I guess if you are going to penalize Purdue for losing Hummel you have take Turner's absence into account as well. :dunno:

If we won the big 12 (and beating kansas), you would think we would for sure have it.  But I guess you never know.  I hope we can do well so we have a chance, then I can be looking forward to seeing what seed we are instead of just where we are placed as a 2.


BTW... as I was typing this reality hit.  We are really debating whether we can make a one or just be a 2.

ACC and big 10 will likely have regular season co-champs and because of their conference rpi, this not as good as finishing 2nd  in the big 12. Purdue would have to win conference tourny get a chance at a 1 seed. Duke would have to win the acc tourny. We just need to play on sat in the p66 to have good shot at a 1 seed. Winning the p66 will give us 1 seed outright. IMO it's between us and duke and our resumes are very similar. Duke and purdue will not the SOS or rpi boost from their conf tournies that we will.

Colon threw down a left handed jam against Moo last Saturday.  It was one of our first 4 points so it didn't make the ESPNU broadcast with Dickey Simpkins.  Just saw it for the first time on ESPN this morning when the Goat was explaining why Dook would be a #1 seed over us.

I had no idea, he had it in him.  It was incredible

I am with you on that.  I don't think we'd handle that pressure well.  Much better to be in the running for the #1, then not get it, and Frank can play up the whole disrespect card, lol.  Plus, a #1 seed would just make the inevitable loss that much more painful.
