Pretty much, but I just tend to have more fun in Funkytown.
Agree pretty much with LE's recommendations.  As far as Dallas vs. FW, just a different kind of scene.  Both are great in their own way.  Sundance is more relaxed and easy to party (I like).  Dallas is more like what you see on tv, if you don't travel much.  I personally like Sundance better, but it's not really the big city experience you're likely to get at Dallas, which you may want on a vacation.

can anyone confirm if the entire state of Oklahoma is under construction as usual?

The construction on I-35 from the Kansas/Oklahoma border to 50 miles south of the border is complete.  It is now the only stretch of highway in Oklahoma that comes close to Kansas quality.  When you cross the border there will be some orange cones that initially make you think "crap, more road construction", but that's just some shoulder work for the first couple of miles that never goes down to 1 lane.

I live in DFW.

The Powercat Gameday place Frankie's in downtown is actually a good sports bar. I watched one of the Mavs finals games there last year. They have tons of room and TVs everywhere. The rest of Sundance Square has a great layout as well, Tons of bars and places to eat within walking distance. ESPN chose it for all its broadcasting last year for the Super Bowl and the Steelers and most of their fanbase stayed over there as well.

Uptown Dallas is awesome, but the parking there sucks. There will be way more K-State fans in Ft. Worth and its an easy 20 minute shot over to Arlington on gameday.

thank you!

Its been probably 8 months since my last trek down to TX.  I was lucky enough to get them in between projects in OK for the most part.

Anybody know anything about The W at Victory Park?  I just booked the penthouse suite.

It's pretty close.  Medieval times is right off of the interstate, same for the W.

Sunflower Rivalry 'Pak Dallas Edition on Wednesday night??

There are 3 official watch parties for the ku game in the DFW metroplex for those that will be in town already. 1 in Plano at Fox and Hound, 1 in Uptown at Christies Bar, and 1 in Ft Worth.

Probably going to Frankie's for the basketball game since there will be a lot of  :ksu: there. Will just be getting into town an hour or two before, so don't really want to hunt for anything else.

Will be watching from the owners box with Jerry, due to being so young and rich and affluent. However, I may just walk among the commoners instead.

Downtown Ft. Worth simply due to the bus offered from there to the game for 10 bucks a person to avoid having to  :driving: to the game.

Seems like quite a few walkable bars that might be able to avoid kstateo if desired.

Uptown is so much fun.  All the elite, rich, swanky types go there.  Have fun at Billy Bob's in Ft Worth, hayseeds.
