Was thinking during the inevitable second half run after JamSam's awe-inspiringly assault via larynx (was gruesome): Who will eventually be KU's version of Jammal Lord?
That is, every "elite" (or at least thinks they are elite) f-ball/b-ball program seems to have at least had a slide in the recent past:
OU football: Howard Schnellenberger, John Blake eras
NU football: Jammal Lord era
USC football: whenever they played emaw
Notre Dame football:
UNC hoops: this year
Duke hoops: Coach K's sabbatical
and so on...
Well, KU has been riding the wave of unpaid child support, DUI's, and Seff's bad-mouthing NBA chances for quite a few uninterrupted years now. It will end at some point, that part is inevitable. Just hope Brady Morningstar or some other comparable douche is around to lead it.
