It's good to see that Obama is doing something about pork

To the Editor:
   I understand the president will soon regulate pork in all delis, including those with Jewish roots, even though they currently don't offer pork, pulled or otherwise.  The administration is attempting to stop discrimination against non-Jewish customers at all American delis.  Furthermore, the pork must be sold free, if it comes through a Jewish store.  It's not clear if non-Jewish stores will be required to sell it for free.
   This regulation is supported by 60 percent of those polled, including large numbers of practicing Jews.  Jewish religious leaders are fuming.  But the administration says that Jewish leadership has been consulted.  And further, it points out that Jews don't have to buy the free pork.  They just have to be offered the pork for free.
   Americans clearly favor moving forward on the free pork initiative as shown by the American Cattle Association's endorsement.  Why the cattle industry favors free pork is not clear at this writing, since they have no beef in the matter.

There is some new initiatve requiring lean pork products to be offered in school lunch programs, including those at muslim and jewish schools.  Obviously an oversight in the writing of the program.

Man oh man. How did I miss this?  Mods, there's some good stuff around page 45 of the GPC Wabash Station thread that should probably be included here.  

He's rough ridin' awful on the Mercury boards.  Well, pretty much everybody is.  But it's a goddamn train wreck and I can't stop reading.  There was one Fake Patty's Day thread where a few people were posting the Bob Strawn memes and saying they were gonna make t-shirts and he threatened to sue because he copyrighted the image on his website. One guy was all, "sorry, that's not a picture of you, that's a picture of tmcats, and you've said you aren't the same person, so....sorry. emaw."  Then someone else was all, "uh...............I didn't see a copyright notice on your website, Bob. Where is it?"  Then someone else changed the image to, like, his face on a shamrock with text that said "Kiss me I'm tmcats."  LOLs were had by everyone except him, then I think he complained to the Mercury board mod and they just nuked the whole thread.

The funny thing is one of Bob's (tmcat's) great crusades aside from trying to put an end to Fake Patty's Day was for Manhattan Mercury posters to post under their real names. 

And when they went to the new format, they did that, requiring you provide a full name, local address and phone number, in which a member of the Mercury staff calls your house for a verification check before granting posting privileges.   

Bob also quit posting over there after Obama won the election, so coupled with the fact that no idiot in their right mind is going to give all their personal info out, now it's like Hadley and two other dudes that talk to themselves.
